What would you call these majors. I'm not quite sure and what would be the best colleges for this in Texas? I have a few in mind yet I can't quite tell if they have these majors. I've learned some so far and I enjoy it alot, I can completely see myself in either career if not both.

I am a college student in a relatively liberal city, and through the years I've encountered several teachers who use their position in the classroom as a platform to spew their political beliefs. As a prospective teacher, I've always found this behavior very unprofessional. I am a pretty liberal person, but I just find it so rude (and a little offensive) when my teacher babbles about 9/11 conspiracies and government corruption. See, it's one thing to express your opinion--it's another thing to assert it as the truth and assume others will agree with you.

In another instance, I had a teacher in high school who spent nearly an entire class period ranting about his opposition to gay marriage. To me, that was downright ignorant because there could have been lgbt students in that class who were offended but too afraid to speak up because of his authority.

Is this appropriate behavior in a classroom setting? If so,
where do you draw the line between debate and diatribe?

Math has always been a rough subject for me. I flunked out of my Math class during the middle of last year. For the last two semesters, I did very well in the Intermediate Algebra class they put me in, and got a 92 on the final. This year (I am a Junior in high school) I am struggling in Advanced Algebra & Trig (may be in the low 70's, high 60's) It's only October so I will try my best to turn it around. Anyway, I am obsessed with science and I do well in it, (High 80's-Mid 90's). If I do badly-mediocre at math for the rest of high school, are my chances of being accepted to a science school drastically decreased? It's rather upsetting that I love science so much, and that I just suck at math.

I'm a student at a middle school of about 600 kids. I'm in 8th grade, and I'm 13 years of age. I am pretty smart and maintain an A average, and I always seem to have a different perspective than other kids. I have just been thinking, do teachers really like being around a bunch of kids all day? I know I wouldn't. And does it creep teachers out when kids are obsessed with their grades? I know, it's an odd question. And also, do teachers see through the "preppy" kids when they act all teachers pet-ish? Or do they just think of them as good kids? I know some are really good kids, But I know alot of people who act innocent around authority, but definately arn't at all. Just some random thoughts that circulate through my head. I'd appriciate answers, if anyone doesn't mind!

Thanks for your help, before hand.

I want a religious affiliated school in California, that is private of course, or at least has a small number of students, can be in Northern or Southern California, preferably not in Los Angeles or in an area like the OC where girls fit that sort of stereotype. I like small atmospheres, beautiful campus, and near a body of water (Pacific) if possible. Cities I have enjoyed include Santa Barbara, San Diego, and San Francisco.
Give me some names of colleges that fit my description.

I am not trained in any nursing procedures yet I am expected to do a daily g-tube feeding on a child in my class. I have found all sorts of laws about MR/DD personnel not being authorized to do g-tube feeding unless they are supervised and a nurse delegates the task to them after they have been certified. As a teacher, am I considered MR/DD personnel even though I'm not employed by the local board of MR/DD but I provide services to student with MR in my class? I don't want to do anything illegal and my school district is not forthcoming with information and training on the subject. I feel like a nurse should be administering the feeding because I have no idea what to do if things go wrong!!! I could use some legal advice from a special ed teacher. Thanks!!!
