I would like to know where to look for complaints or violations for potential preschools/daycare facilities. Are these on file somewhere? I am just starting to research preschools and want to know if certain schools have had problems that could affect my decision.

I am on the verge of crying because of stress?
I am so scared i am not going to get into alaska pacific university. I have a 2.7 gpa and i have just finished my sophmore year in HS. i had mono last year at the end of the first quarter and very beginning of the second quarter for 1 entire month so that reallyscrewed me over but i received good grades for the last semester because i didn't miss very much school. i don't know what to do. I am taking ALL IB (international baccalaureate) next year which will give me weighted grades because it is an advanced diploma program and i am almost positive i can get B's and above. Do you think i will make it into a decent college. and i am already studying for my ACT's. I am really stressed out and that is all i am worrying about. if you could help and give me some advice that would be wonderful.
and i am also going to be the president of Earth Club my senior year. and i have tutored and i am going to volunteer at the humane society this year

I know it's from one of the Gallagher specials - but I don't know which one. I want to use it for an anthropology paper (no, I'm not kidding) and I need to know the source so I can cite it in the references.

Can someone give me a good ballpark on college tuitions including everything at an average university in the country (UF, OU or colleges in that same rank)?
I know it could vary depending on scholarship and if you live in a dorm compared to a fraternity or else
Thanks a million.

I am 15 and want to become a Neurosurgeon or study Neurological procedures and/or possibly become a doctor or maybe earn a PhD in it.
I did not pick biology as a subject and are thinking of crashing biology in my last year of high school

For this year I take:

I take Physics and Chemistry as well as Modern Studies (to do with politics) all at higher level. I am doing Maths and English at Intermediate 2.

For my Last year I hope to take:

Technalogical studies - Higher (crash)
Biology - Higher (Crash)
Maths - Higher
English - Higher
Modern Studies - Advanced Higher

I am hoping to get all "A's" in them.

Is it too late or am I not intelligent enough to go to Harvard or Yale.

The Scottish education system did not tell me of the potential I had to become something that would be worthwhile. I feel as though my education and life are being wasted.
Please help me as I desperatly want this job in the future and go to this University.
My SG grades: 6 Creds & 2 Gen

I just heard that you need self-confidence, and lots of it.

What exactly do they do to you in college/university?

I'm still in high school, and everyone i know would say I'm the master of self-doubt.

So why exactly do you need confidence? Is it absolutely necessary?

Personally, I don't have much confidence, but I'm doing fine in high school. So what's so different about university then?

Thanks ^_^

I am able to make an easy 800 in the math SAT, and writing isn't really a problem, as I can make a 600+ solid. Right now, I keep making 530s and 520s in Reading. I've begun looking up vocabulary words that I've seen in the newspapers the last 2 or 3 months, and have a list of 200 SAT words that I didn't know when I did the tests that I am more than halfway through memorizing with a sentence. I also got a book called No Fear Vocabulary, with a story, then tests and quizzes about the vocabulary, but I haven't started it yet. http://www.amazon.com/No-Fear-Vocabulary/dp/1411401360/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/002-6267110-4671248?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1183230566&sr=8-1

Is there anything else I should do? Should I keep doing what I'm doing any put 6 or so words into my mind every day? I'm extremely worried, because unlike math, which is such an easy subject, including in school, my reading comprehension skill is far away in score from my math score.

I want to take the degree worldwide, especially to London. I was just curious as to how it is seen across the globe and domestically. Is the university worth the money? If I am going to be spending loads of cash on my education the degree better be worth it. Is Vanderbilt the school for me?

My 16 year old son, who tested as gifted when he was younger, hates school. He is supposed to enter the 11th grade in the Fall but I am considering letting him drop out. Besides the fact that he has not done well academicalIy I as his mother have witnessed his suffering over school for the last four years or so. He has been depressed over school and has felt badly about himself, plus he has developed Irritable Bowel Syndrome. The stress of school is a tremendous aggravator of these nasty symtoms! I have done some research regarding GED and think this path might be better for him. Our local community college offers GED preparatory classes and GED testing, etc. My question is how will this affect his chances later if he should decide that he wants to go to University. Will having a GED rather than a traditional High School Diploma negatively affect his future?

If you are still going through the summer, what activities do you do?

If you take off, what factors made you decide to take off?

I'm just curious, thanks for any ideas.

It was in a damian marley song, i figure its some type of metaphor

"And did you know that the pen is stronger then the knife, they can kill you once, but they can't kill you twice"

My guess is..A pen is used to write words, and a knife is used to kill, and sometimes words can hurt more then pain (explains why the pen is stronger then the knife, since the pen writes words and the knife inflicts pain)

I think the part where he says "they can you kill you once, but they can't kill you twice" Means they can kill you once, but they can't kill you twice (they cant kill you twice because they cannot kill your soul).

What do you think it means? This was my random guess.
