Education & Reference - 17 April 2007

i'm a first year 4th grade teacher and i need help teaching customary measurment (inches, feet, cups, pints, quart, gallons, etc.)

my students seem to understand all the unit of measure, but have trouble doing even simple conversions...like cups to gallons, or figuring out how many feet are in a certain number of miles.

any cool lesson ideas or tips?

my 12yr old son has just been diagnosed with adhd and aspergers I have yet to see the full report but i have never heard of these two conditions occuring together.has anyone any expeirience of this and how will it effect the support given in school. At the moment he recieves no one to one support and his biggest problems are social inadeqecies within the peer qroup and an inability to get work down on paper orally he has been described as having outstanding knowledge

I might be getting a different job at the place that I work at which would make me have to relocate to a different state. Right now I am pursuing a associates degree at a community college. I have 42 credits. Here are the questions that I have.

1. If I transfer to another community college will the other community college award me with and associates degree even through I am almost done with the current college that I am attending?
2 Or is it better to transfer to a four year college and get a bachelors degree?

It has to have a verb form. And it should sound like a strong word that can stand alone. Like "excel" or "achieve".
