1. A teaching assistant, who is studying for her teaching qualifications, told a girl, who was trying to disrupt an exam that her classmates were taking, that she was acting like a spoilt baby.
The result a severe reprimand for the teaching assistant. Apparently it's non-PC to tell a child they are misbehaving.
2. At another school this week, a twelve year old boy attacked a female teaching assistant and then threw a mug of hot coffee in her face.
He then threatened that he and his dad knew people who would get her, and she was going to get a kicking.
The result, he got a two week suspension from school. The teaching assistant is off on sick leave, afraid to return to her job.
Does not the Education Department have a duty of care towards their staff?
Do any of these incompetent managers, brought in to run our schools, have any inkling of the anarchy they are creating in the classrooms?
Something is seriously wrong with our schools and like all rot it starts at the top.
