Can I tell you something? I don't even care if I get the points or not but your question made me laugh so hard and made my whole week. I haven't been having a good day but I read your question and it put a smile on my face and made me feel good today. Thank you soooo much and please keep asking these types of q's because some of us actually like people like you who are not afraid to be funny even if it is at your own expense. Take care

no I dont think your stupid. Obviously you are aware that you have problems spelling, so im sure you can use resourses to help you such as spell check and stuff. Some people are just bad spellers. I cant do well in math, even when I try very hard becuase I have a learning disability...or a learning difference--
which doesnt mean I cant DO math, but that i have trouble understanding it the same way most people do and need to learn it differently. its probably the same thing with your spelling

oh and in response to wooderson's answer (a couple below mine)...even with first sylable words its easy for someone to write what they hear. ferst sounds exactly the same as first so its logical. for example, the word pretty spelled pritty or the word rain being spelled rane. people who have issues spelling, dont know when they need to look up a word in the distionary if it sounds right. but suppose i DID want to check in the dictionary...how to spell the word "mirror" and I pronounce it "meerur" (which is how some people do pronounce it I would first look under "mee" and then when i didnt find it, id try looking under "mea" which is the same sort of sound. after all that looking it takes a lot of time and effort to try to look up one word if u cant even spell the first few letters so to me it makes sense why someone who cant spell would try to spell as opposed to rummage through a dictionary over every word!

I had a quick look at some of the over 600 questions and answers you have against your name, as also your profile and the no. of points you have gathered so far. You are definitely not stupid, even if your spelling is not perfect (nobody is perfect, for that matter)!
I think you have deliberately misspelled a few words in this question, to provoke some answers! You seemed to have achieved this objective! Very clever of you.
Yes, you can use the spell check and improve your spelling, if you wish to.
I think this answers your comment about first graders. Nice to know that first graders in USA have excellent spelling skills, going by your answers and questions. At this rate, all first graders would be potential experts in English spelling. Good for the country, and good for those who bemoan the bad spelling we come across in YA!

I think that you could use the spell checker!! It's such a simple tool to use if people are unsure about spelling. Though I do think people can either spell or they can't. Bad grammar upsets me more than poor spelling, and using "text speak" irritates me beyond measure. It has a place for sms messaging on phones to minimise the amount of characters used, but I hate the way it's slipped into everyday use. But perhaps I am just easily annoyed!!

naw, you'll get better spelling with time. heck, the fact that you can spell is something in and of itself.

some recent study figured out that almost a third of the people in Washington DC, the capitol of America, are functionally illiterate. you're better than 1/3 of America's capitol at spelling. congrats.

No, I don't, because you can't judge a person's intelligence by spelling alone.

I do think you spell worse than a first grader, though. I'm also annoyed because people who can't spell makes it hard for me to decipher what they're trying to say.

But I don't think you're stupid.

actually, most first graders are not worried about spelling. they are more concerned with recess.

people who aren't trained aren't stupid. they are just unlearned.

it is people who are educated and who have an over inflated sense of self you have to watch out for...

....either that or lazy.

Why is it so hard to spell "stupid" or "first"?

I can understand if you have to look up four syllable words now and again, but come on.... Look at what you write and correct it.

People who write like idiots appear to others much the same as people who talk like idiots.
