i'd really try to go for something new like mass communication or some IT stuff. i can speak english fluently and have more than basic knowlege of c++, photoshop, illustrator,dreamweaver, java and MS office.

You need to consider what you really want to do and identify the courses that will help you get there...
Mass communication / journalism / writing - this is a wonderful career.... as people say the "pen is mightier than the sword" - your writings should inspire youth and motivate them to do well in their lives
You can also take a "whack" at getting into ICS / IAS / IFS - interesting careers / lots of travel / you will have so much power - u can change he world for better - check out what you need to study to get into these courses too
IT is always there - if you are extremely good then you will do well (developer / analyst - and so on and so forth) or else you just have to join the masses of indian youth and sweat it at the call centers during the night...

If u can afford then try with B.tech/b.e IT / electronics & comm
else try to go with B.Sc. comp science / B.C.A
The market is good for that
