What would be the correct word ( in a political situation) for creating or attempting to create public upset and discussion over a trivial matter in order to prevent them from noticing or concentrating on something bigger and/or more important ?

Hi. I am a student of Indonesian nationality, currently studying at a school in Indonesia. I am hoping to enter the National University of Singapore (NUS). Does anyone know the requirements for international applicants ? If i am taking the Cambridge A-Levels in June 2008, what minimum grades am I supposed to get in order to get accepted in NUS ? My son is in a traditional public school in 8th grade. He is doing horribly and probably won't pass the year. It's not that he's not smart, but he has been bullied all year long. The school didn't do anything about it, even when I complained. I am considering home schooling as an option for next year because I can't afford the private schools in my area. Here is the problem. I am a single mother who works full time (8:30 to 4:00), with a hour long commute each way. His father lives in another part of the state, so he would not be able to help. Can I still home school him?

I have the chance to study Law LLB either in Birckbeck University as part time (evenings) and do not have to stop working full time and pay for my expenses and studies or stop working, ask for a loan to be able to pay my studies and study either in Queens Mary or Reading. Fridays are "fun school" days for my two youngest and myself. (they are 7 and 5, sometimes my 17 year old joins us) This is the day we go on a field trip, do a craft, play educational games, etc. I'm out of ideas at the moment. The weather should be cool and sunny.

She ALWAYS is getting onto me for stupid reasons... She annoys me so I skip her class, and then when I come back she bombards me with questions about why I was gone. In turn, I get annoyed and skip. Its a never ending cycle. Yesterday I missed her class though because my parents kept me at home to tell me that the doctors think my dad may have bone cancer or blood cancer... And today when she BERATES me I'm debating just being blunt and telling her that to make her feel bad, but I don't even know if that will work. I only have 2.5 months left until I graduate, but I am SO tired of her. HELP!

I thought it was very good. But why didn't it show the negative side to cochlear implants? Kind of ironic the generation who hated going "oral" so much, didn't have anything bad to say about the children who's parents give them cohclear (sp?) implants so that their children could go "oral" as well! I wished the movie had represented the dissent on this topic.
