When I was in High School I gave a speech titled "True Christians Do Not Celebrate Christmas" The title alone got everyone's attention and stimulated a discussion afterwards. Those facts alone would have gotten a good grade even if the material was sketchy. The internet is jammed full of info about the pagan origin of the modern day Christmas celebration, how it was celebrated prior to Jesus' birth, and how it got adopted into the Catholic church in the 3rd century.
You could also do something on global warming but I think it's overdone right now and may get a so-so grade.
It sounds like you wait until the last minute to complete your assignments. What happens when you find a subject you love? You probably won't do it justice. Good luck.

Do a travel guide to a country you'd like to visit someday or have visited. It's easy to get the info off the net... like things to do, places to visit, what to eat. the culture there etc etc. You would be doing research but it's not hard to find at all! Hope this helps... good luck...

Since you don't want to research, do a topic that you already know about. What are your hobbies and interests? Pick one of those.

global warming. Spend a few minutes on background, a few on current amounts and stuff, a few on ways that might help, a few on what other countries are doing.
Good luck, and dont talk too fast.
