She ALWAYS is getting onto me for stupid reasons... She annoys me so I skip her class, and then when I come back she bombards me with questions about why I was gone. In turn, I get annoyed and skip. Its a never ending cycle. Yesterday I missed her class though because my parents kept me at home to tell me that the doctors think my dad may have bone cancer or blood cancer... And today when she BERATES me I'm debating just being blunt and telling her that to make her feel bad, but I don't even know if that will work. I only have 2.5 months left until I graduate, but I am SO tired of her. HELP!

As a teacher I can tell you that the best way to handle this is to have a one on one conversation with her and be as honest as you can be without being disrespectful. I would respect you for that myself. If that doesn't work, go to an administrator.

Sounds like the teacher's not the only one acting badly; in fact, it sounds like the teacher is trying to do her job (part of which is making sure her students actually attend the classes they're supposed to be at).

If you want her to treat you better, you've got to be better as well; otherwise, she's got no reason to change - and a responsiblility not to. And as to the one incident where your parents kept you home, how do you expect her to know the difference _unless_ you tell her? As far as she knew (from what we could tell from the story), this was just another incident of you skipping class, so I don't see it as an example of her being unreasonable.

If a teacher's being like that to you, you should report her higher up, you may be suprised how supportive the higher teacher's are.

And chances are if you say to the teacher that you have reported her for bullying and continually picking you out she'll be terrified, school bodies take this very seriously.

Hope this helps

I hope that nothing bad happens to your father and be patient with your teacher.
Do you have a Dean in your school? Why don't you go and talk to him/her? If your teacher continues to bother you, simply call her aside and speak to her. Explain to her, how you feel in her class. I wish you good luck and your family too!
