I've decided to scrap usage of my full first name, in favor of two initials (long story why). So what works better, DJ (first and middle, but I know very little about music ;) ), or DB (first and last, but kind of weird when used with my full last name?

What is your full last name? Those of us who don't know it, wouldn't be able to appreciate how 'weird' it would sound if you switched over to DB, and so it wouldn't matter to most of us who don't know your full name.
People have all sorts of weird names in YA, and so it wouldn't matter if you add one more to the list! Maybe you should go ahead and change your YA identity to the weird name you have in mind, assuming that by so doing, you won't give your identity away to those few of us who know you, or the new identity wouldn't be offensive! Makes YA a very interesting place to be seen in, even if sometimes weird!
However, whatever change you want to make, do it fast so that you don't waste too many points by continuing to work with you current avatar.

Dan - Long story aside it is probably better to stay with your real name instead of initialling it - or just use "danny" or another nickname. Using initials can get confusing and in any case its not worth changing your name after one incident.
