I never liked the idea of homework. First of all, parents arent always home or able to help the kids with it. A kid can get seriously behind because of not understanding and/or completing homework assignements. Also, we as adults arent expected (usually) to bring our work home. Home should be a place of relaxation and rejuvination, not School away from School. I see no good coming from Home-work.

ok. i filled out the fafsa and its been successfully processed,but looking at my account now i see that i got some of the pell grant,(4,430)but that appears to be all, is this really all theyre going to offer me when my EFC is 0.00? or will more federal loan options and things show up a little later? and i just need to be patient?

Please tell me if i'm overracting. My son just started daycare 3 weeks ago and when I pick him up after being there for 7-8, his nose is never clean. It's usually got a small crusty like boogerish look to it. Now mind you, he's caught his first few common colds since he's been there (he's 1 years old), so part of it is due to his nose running(draining). Today I mentioned to her when I dropped him off that I packed extra towels and wipes in his bag to wipe his nose with. It's annoying because I feel its nasty and it's really kinda dirty. I could never pick him up and take him directly somewhere without wiping his nose out. She takes care of him and 6 other lil' ones, all under the age of 3-4, with no helper. I'm thinking she probably doesn't have time to wipe his nose out, but with him eating and her changing him you'd think she'd wipe his nose at least one during the day. How do I solve this problem or is this not a big deal. I know a dirty nose won't hurt him but still! oh what to do?

-I've started a club
-I have a 4.0 GPA (sophomore)
-I am taking all advanced classes
-I took Film History and theater at a college (summer) for credits
-I am on Varsity tennis (since Freshman year)
-Choir
-TONS of clubs
-I have already gotten a commercial on the air (seriously!)
-Cinematography at school
-Already in AP Spanish
-Will have taken 13 AP classes by the end of High school
-I am terrible at AP chem and i am not happy with my teacher
-I already have a great portfolio going to send to schools
-I am great at English
-I have taken and will take many writing classes

um im in 10th grade and ive been told to start searching for scholarships now and start earning them already except all ive found is for seniors and mostly people who have already graduated... do u have any advice for scholarships for 10th graders?

I need help understanding unit plans. I have searched the internet and I'm not learning all that much, and the info seems to contradict each other. I need to create a unit plan for my education class but I never really learned about it. I know what a lesson plan is, but I'm confused about the unit. Is a unit just a main topic.. like Honesty.. and then all the lessons somehow revert back to that main topic? Is that correct? I'm totally lost!!!!

my son is required to know some words for kindergarten. words like man, are, the, etc. some of them he can get but others like the word me (which the e is not pronounced as other words) is hard for him to get. for some reason he thinks that just because some words have the same letters he can just blurt out any word with that same letter. i have no idea how to help him out and apparently his teacher isnt doing her job. please help someone
