ok. i filled out the fafsa and its been successfully processed,but looking at my account now i see that i got some of the pell grant,(4,430)but that appears to be all, is this really all theyre going to offer me when my EFC is 0.00? or will more federal loan options and things show up a little later? and i just need to be patient?

bonsylar, there are federal direct loans u can get. from the gov. that are offered automatically as a result from ur fafsa, i got some last year.

yea i know EFC of 0 mean they dont expect my family to have any money at all to put on my college education. which it doesnt...at all

An EFC score of 0 is excellent. It refers to Estimated Family Contribution. It means you qualified for the maximum amount in Pell Grants. I do recommend being patient until the school comes back with your financial aid package. Most colleges do have need based scholarships to fill in the gap. Be patient it is early yet. Plus you should get some tap grant.

That is all your getting from the FAFSFA.
Loans come from banks. Also look into scholarships. Millions go unclaimed just because no one applies.
