(x * x) + (x * 1) + (1 * x2 ) + (1 * 1) – x
X3 + x + x2 + 1 – x
X3 + x2 + 1
(The number after the x is an exponent)

i need some help with algebra.
i need to know how to find the following:

1. For a right triangle, if a=6, and c=12, find the value of B.

2. A 24 ft flagpole is to be secured by a wire from the top of the pole to the stake imbedded in the ground. The stake is located 21 ft from the base of the pole.If x represents the length of the wire to the nearest 10th of a foot,find the value of X.

3.Find the distance between (-2,1) and (4,-7).

if you know the answer to any of these, please solve them. And please show work,and/or explain how to solve the problem so i can know how to do the others on my own. thanks alot.

I am currently a student at a state university. As I grew up I heard that college was suppose to be the time of your life as well as a great intellectual experience. What I have experienced first hand is just a jarder version of high school. All that is different is that you have to read and study more academic wise. The kids here are pretty much the same as back in high school except for the ones who didn't try at all to pass classes back in high school. The same popular kids in high school ( the roided out football and lacross players who joined the team even though they were not even good) are the same popular kids here ( I.E. Frat Boys). Not all frat boys are tools, some are pretty good guys but alot seem to carry on that "elitist" mindset from highschool and just talk a bunch of sh*t for no reason. I hear from ppl that these same people dominate the future workforce I will be entering soon. So what do all you ppl out there think about college, give some feedback..thanks

The directions say to put this word problem below into a linear equation in 1 variable and then solve. Meaning, make an equation using only the variable x instead of using x's and y's. The whole thing is somewhat confusing to me. Can someone illustrate how i'm supposed to come up with an equation using only one variable from this word problem that has me stumped.
