I graduated from High School a year ago, and wish to go to college. I excel above average in testing on literature, and other such subjects. However I am extremely math deficient, to the point of having been said to have a mental block by some counselors while at the same time having comments that I was a "genious" and above average in other subjects.

After going over multiplication facts every day in in Sylvan Tutoring for math I still do not know them. They tried to teach me formulas, and basic mathematical procedures and after intensive tutoring trying all kinds of different learning methods I still do not know how to do a basic formula without error.

This obviously has kept my ACT score under the minimum scores required for college and a low GPA, that and my difficulty at taking time tests a year after being out of HS.

Is there any special program or way to get into college without the ACT in this case? I have no professionally diagnosed learning disability though.

I have recently taught teens who had very strong views (with not justification) against homosexuality use derogatory terminology (mostly heard in song lyrics) - one 13 year old refers to himself as a "pimp" 'cause he thinks it's cool, not because he really is or because he really understands its implications. I'm a new teacher and am shocked everyday at the things I hear. If you are a teen, I'd love to hear from you especially....but all answers welcome! Thanks!

Im doing a report and I cannot find any quotes that were said about him. I would prefer quotes that were compliments, but just post as many as possible. In many religons they agree with the death penalty for a variety of reasons. The bible requires the death penalty for sex before marriage,adultury, homosexual behaviour and murder. They's laws arn't only passed out in the bible but also in the Qur'an. If these sins are commited they can recieve any of the seven punisihments such as Lethal injection, Electric Chair, Hanging, Firing squad, and stoning. Each country has it's own methods for each sin.
