i do not get a question i am being asked, help?

I am currently trying out for the football team at my high school and i need to fill out a questionnaire and one of the questions asked is "How can you get rid of all your excuses?" can someone explain that to me?

I think it wants to get you to say to "tell the truth." Because if you're honest, there's no need for excuses. That's how I interpreted it, at least. Hope it helps :)

Or are these excuses as to why you can't make practice?
