I realize that this is going to vary some based on what college you attend and which instructor that you have. Can those of you with college experience give me an idea of what you encounter most often?
1. Do college professors usually follow the same scale that I grew accustomed to in high school? (i.e. 90% and above =A, 80-89% =B, and so on)

2. Do professors typically grade exams based on the total percentage correct, or are they more likely to grade on a curve based on overall class performance?

Thank you for your input!

I recently got my letter saying I have good enough grades for the National Honors Society. I get mostly A's and I would consider myself a good kid. But, last year I got sent to the principals office for basically doing nothing. The teacher who sent me was recently fired for hooking up with an underaged girl over break. But, he was so stupiddd bc he sent me and another girl down for laughing. He said we were disrupting the class. It was so stupid. I have never EVER gotin in trouble b4 this. I hate this teacher for it. Anyways...will this effect my chances of getting into the NHS?

I've been having this problem for a long time.I don't live in an English speaking,my English is good. And because of that I found that most people around me aren't that good in English,so they make mistakes .The problem is that they spell some words in a wrong way and when I spell them right, they say that I am wrong and that my pronunciation is wrong!!!Today,in university, our professor wrote the word"odour and colour" and I write in American English so I wrote "odor and color".Also they spell the word"Molisch" "Molish" .Anyways, this professor said that my spelling is wrong and there's no such thing as odor, color or Molisch and that it isn't "ketose" ,it's keto-sugar.Keto is the adjective and ketose is the noun so i see no difference. And sometimes my friends use some words that they think they mean some thing but they mean some completely different thing and I am afraid I might lose them if I try to correct them, but I can't stand them thinking that I am wrong even though I am right.

i'm in 11th grade and at my school there is this teacher who doesn't even teach me but he acts really wierd with me. Hes like the strictest teacher in the school to everyone but me. Once he took a photo of me and started going on about how much he LIKED it, i mean it was just a pic of me playing with my hair. Another time i was in his room for some reason and he just came out with 'fancy a job rosa' and winked at me, then a few days later he was shouting at some kids and came up to me after and said 'i'm not mean, well i'm not mean to you because i know you like and i'm nice to you, you've seen my nice side ' and winked at me yet again. Whenever i walk past he has to have some degree of eye contact with me and whenever i talk to him he always touches me on the arm or shoulder. Its only me hes like this with, why am i been singled out like this?
