I've been reading different essays by Samuel Johnson and also the federalist papers, and even though it is hard to understand I really do like there writing style. So I was wondering how could I learn to increase my vocabulary to be on a level such as Samuel Johnson.

i'm in 11th grade and at my school there is this teacher who doesn't even teach me but he acts really wierd with me. Hes like the strictest teacher in the school to everyone but me. Once he took a photo of me and started going on about how much he LIKED it, i mean it was just a pic of me playing with my hair. Another time i was in his room for some reason and he just came out with 'fancy a job rosa' and winked at me, then a few days later he was shouting at some kids and came up to me after and said 'i'm not mean, well i'm not mean to you because i know you like and i'm nice to you, you've seen my nice side ' and winked at me yet again. Whenever i walk past he has to have some degree of eye contact with me and whenever i talk to him he always touches me on the arm or shoulder. Its only me hes like this with, why am i been singled out like this? (sorry for posting so much i want professional opinions of other teachers)

Hi,
I have to do a research essay and I already know what I want to write on, global warming, but I want to write about it from a different view.
For example, the effects of china and india if they became as industrialized as U.S. or why for some countries it's harder to find new resources to reduce their consumption, or something to that extent.

According to Descartes, I think therefore I am (cogito ergo sum). What the hell does that mean? I am what? If I think I'm a baboon, then I am a baboon? Why is this phrase being quoted everywhere although it bears so little significance?

Or is there like something else behind the phrase?

I am a teacher and would like something that I can use as a class project where students can enter values for x and y and get an equation from a line. I would especially like it if it would make a trend line from a scatter plot. However just a simple online site that would allow them to type in x and y coordinates and get an equation would be good!

I am having trouble finding an old friend with this last surname. I think I might have the spelling wrong. The surname sounds like this..."DeLANgalet". Accent on the second syllable. I knew this person years ago and cannot come up with a proper spelling and good search results. It's a French surname.
Anybody have any spelling ideas? Help appreciated!
