To MAKE a long HORRIBLE story short-
My son's annual review was a week or so ago and we set it all up-after reading the minutes I noticed that nothing was mentioned about "communication" ( and issue I brought up as a concern....I don't feel as if I get enough) Via email ,I hinted at adding it to his IEP... ( this is a teacher that is not the type to say...:"he had a great day"...or "he is very friendly with"......so I figured at least every couple of weeks a quick note would be helpful)

The next day at school the teacher said "don't make any waves, I had to fight to keep him on an IEP"

Do you think what she said is called for? All I want is a little more feedback and she basically threatened to have my son's IEP taken away? I know that it can't be (taken away)....my issue is that fact that she actually said what she said! What do you think?

Would you be mad if you were a parent....and if you are a teacher would you EVER say what she said?

Asked before, but added info, and no one's been able to answer.

Hard to explain, but I'm looking for the term for what these would've been...if they even existed.

They are mitts or gloves of sorts, without fingers. Each one would've been 2 pieces and would've had key locks of sorts on the outside. The hand and wrist would've been set inside, then the top put over it. Each would have a "shelf" inside with a curved cut out, to allow for a tight fit, around the wrist and fist, then lock together. They would've been made of metal...iron? Not actually hand cuffs but whole hand or fist cuffs.

Also, how much would one weigh if made of iron?

I'm writing a story where I've a magical character, who is "shackled" in these things so she can't use her hands in casting spells.

Cuffs, shackles, and Manacles are all just around the wrist, leaving the hand exposed. Needs to be like a oven mitt without the thumb...but iron.

I've recently started college, again (long story), and I've enrolled in History courses for my own personal knowledge and recreation (history nut). I decided I would like to become a History Teacher, highschool level. I have a knack for presentation and kids and teens tend to look up to me (ok, maybe it's just my younger kid sister's friends). I know the route to get to the classroom, I would just like to know if it's quite difficult to land that position and in the coming years will it only grow to be more difficult?
