What is the past tense of choose? Is it chose? cause that doesn't look right.

Yeah, its chose, like " I chose to go home the other day".

Lots of things in the English language don't look right so don't worry about it much.

Correct. The simple past tense of choose would be chose.

eg: I chose this subject as my major

I believe it's chose.
I will choose a hotdog-present tense
I chose a hotdog-past tense

It is chose, I know it looks weird but it's correct. I always get confused with loose and lose as well, they both look wrong!
