successful people are successful b/c they form the habits of doing those things that failures like to do.

This "quote" really doesn't make sense....but...it possibly means that in order to be successful at something, one has to take failures as a challenge, not as a defeat.

The following quotes from Thomas Edison are examples of this thinking:
"I am not discouraged, because every wrong attempt discarded is another step forward"

"Many of life's failures are men who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up".

"Nearly every man who develops an idea works at it up to the point where it looks impossible, and then gets discouraged. That's not the place to become discouraged".

Personally, the quote you have asked about doesn't inspire me. I'm already inspired to learn from my failures and mistakes, and use that knowledge to advance.

it doesn't inspire me because it doesn't make any sense. successes make a habit of doing things that failures like to do? how is that supposed to work?
