I recently graduated, as valedictorian, at sixteen years old. Due to age limitations I decided to take a year off before attending University. I thoroughly enjoy learning; however, and deemed it discerning just to take two classes at community college to prepare me for college (I took the classes after not during HS). I never intended to transfer the credits I just didn't want a lapse in my education. Now I have been informed by college counselors that they will no longer consider me a freshman. I arduously worked to graduate early and earned a 3.9 GPA in the process. I also have a 700 SAT score in verbal and a 600 in math. According to the counselors though, all that I have worked for is negligible now because I'm no longer a freshman and have to apply as a transfer. Transferring to a UC school entails earning sixty credits at a community college, which I cannot do because the environment will suffocate me. I thrive in certain environments, ones which community colleges cannot afford.

Hello everyone, this is a serious problem and I need a good answer.

I have this nervousness problem, so sometimes I wake up and feel nauseous from the nervousness. My mom calls me in sick when I ask her.

She knows I have this nervousness problem...I know some deep breathing exercises, and other remedies, and they sometimes work.

Anyway, marking period 2 just started and I already missed 9 or 10 days. In the handbook, it says that 20 absences during a full year, or 10 absences in a semester will result in loss of credit fo the student.

I am getting A's and B's so far, and am very proud of that...but now I fear that I will pass the 20 absence mark for the year, or 10 absence mark for the semester.

What should I do about this? I DO NOT plan on retaking the course, even if they say I lost credit.

Best answer gets 10 points, and I need good helpful answers.

This is for my sister who is a college sophmore..I am trying to help her out. Right now, she goes to a public college. Because of her family income, and the fact that her public college is "cheaper" (12,000 a year) than most schools in the state, she received LITTLE fafsa help last year (like 500 dollars). She wants to transfer to a private college that costs about $25,000 a year, but she has already received a private grant from them, which would bring the total to about $18,000 a year. Basically, we are wondering if she applied for fafsa through this private college, is there a chance she would get more aid from it? The family income is slighty lower than the last time she filled it out as well. Thank You
