Depends on the state/school system, but generally, it's frowned upon, especially without the student's consent (and that only pertains to specific class assignments). If you're talking about end of term grades, state test scores, and the like, it's illegal to post those at ALL - student confidentiality.

FERPA is the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act. It says that posting assessments and grades for everyone to see is usually not allowed as it violates privacy. Certain practices such as having students check each other's homework and quizzes are allowed but for major assessments, privacy must be maintained as much as possible (so tests can't just be left out for people to pick up, etc.)
There is a lot more to FERPA as well.
