WHY IS EVERYONE DROPPIN' THE "G" OUT OF WORDS?

Mid-westerners do it a lot when speakin'. We can only hope they use it when writin'.

It happens all the time in all languages...invery similar ways. It is because a group of people can do it and can understand each other. For example have you ever heard a person speaking spanish and say things like rufo, parking, etc? Well these words are used commonly but aren't exactly correct, b/c rufo-"roof" in spanish is "techo" and parking-"parking" is "estacionamiento" in spanish. It might seem odd to hear these words, but many people are comfortable using them, but if you do use the g or not you probably will still be understood.

no it's not coz they are tryin to be cool, but rather, are writin the words the way they pronounce 'em and often words are pronounced only till the "n" and not all the way till "ING". so, basically, yeah, you could say they are tryin to be cool, except they are doin that unconciouscly
