I need some activities using math software to simply take up some time at the end of a class period. It doesn't have to be anything detailed, just a simple activity. Maybe something using Geometer's Sketchpad?

A. OQ is the bisector of POR. OR is the bisector of QOS and POR = 40.

Find ROS.

I used the bisector theorm and got 20 (1/2 * 40/1 = 40/2 = 20)

Now for the question i need help in.

B. Explain the reasoning prossess you used to find the answer in A (Above).

My daughter is in 6th (sixth) grade, and her teacher has just started having them read Murder on the Orient Express. She is in an excelerated classroom but isn't this a little much for an 11 year old...am I crazy in thinking so or is her teacher the crazy one?

Can I get my college loan interest back?
I am a recent college graduate living in New York State, making 27k a year. I currently have consolidated college loan payments that I am paying (unfortunately only paying the minimum for now) each month. When tax time comes around, is it true that I can get back the interest that I paid in the previous year on my college loan? How do I go about doing so if this is true? Thanks!

Seriously! Everyone expects me to get straight A's just because I ended middle school with a 3.7, and I can't possibly get close to that now! Every day, I get 3-5 hours of hours of homework, not including the typed projects which they expect us to do, and give us too little time to finish.
