I'm 26 and a single dad. I want to further my education to better support myself and my son. I want to go back to college, but I don't know what to major in.
After high school I earned an Associates degree in Computer Information Systems. Afterwards, I worked for a tech company for about 5 years. Now I realize 2 things: a) the Associates degree just doesn't cut it and b) the IT industry isn't for me.
I'm thinking about majoring in English. I just don't want to waste my time and money. I don't particularly have a passion for English, yet there is nothing else I can say I have a passion for either. I've been wanting to go back to college for over 4 years now, but this indecisiveness has been holding me back. I'm thinking that at this point it may be best just to go for English. I mean, I could have already earned a Bachelors by now. Even if it wasn't exactly what I wanted, atleast it would have been something. And, I can always go back to school again. What do you all think?
