k, I need to make a time line. The rules are: 1 meter for every millennium, and 10 inches per century. Which makes one inch for 10 years.
My time line has to be from 2000 B.C.E. to 80 C.E. I calculated that to be 280 cm (If I'm wrong, please correct me!)

It is easier for me to use a tape measure in inches than use a 30 cm ruler. So if anybody could convert 280 cm to inches for me, it'd be a GREAT help =]

Thanks, Paige

A few kids started a small food fight and the whole 8th grade got punished. We haven't had privilages (slushies, vending machines, pizza bar on Friday, ability to go outside) for about two weeks. They have started to slowly give us our privilages back, but there is one group of kids who still won't behave. Also, our principal thinks putting your arm around your bf/gf or holding hands with them is too much P.D.A. The same thing happened last year in middle school when there was a fight. The old principal moved up to the high school when the old one left. Our principal and especially our V.P. won't let us slightly bend the rules and when a few people break a rule, everyone is punished. Is that too harsh?

I am a college student and I am soooo burned out. I've only been going for 2 1/2 years. I still have 2 years to go! I have to force myself to do homework or study. All of my work is done at the last minute and I dread going to class sooo much! I am on my last semester of basics, so next semester will be better, but what can I do in the mean time to be a little more motivated. I still have a 3.86 GPA and do very well in school, I just really do not enjoy it anymore! Anyone else like this?

I live in a small town about 30 miles east of Springfield, Ma. In my high school, we house grades 8 - 12. If you miss behave you get sent to T.O.R. (time out room). One of the 8th graders has to eat lunch in there. Yesterday, she decided not to. When the police officer tried to escort her back to class, she told him and our principal to f*** off. She got arrested, had to go to juvinile court, spent about 2 hours in juvie, and got suspened for 2 days. Is that punishment to harsh? Shouldn't people be worried about things like a school shooting, not about swearing?

I'm applying to law school and everyone says don't pay attention to the rankings and numbers. Well without the numbers or rankings what am I supposed to do? I can't visit all 200 schools.

BTW, I'm not completely lost. I have my list of schools and am currently applying. I would just like to hear from others what they think is important or how they made their final decision.

I'm 26 and a single dad. I want to further my education to better support myself and my son. I want to go back to college, but I don't know what to major in.

After high school I earned an Associates degree in Computer Information Systems. Afterwards, I worked for a tech company for about 5 years. Now I realize 2 things: a) the Associates degree just doesn't cut it and b) the IT industry isn't for me.

I'm thinking about majoring in English. I just don't want to waste my time and money. I don't particularly have a passion for English, yet there is nothing else I can say I have a passion for either. I've been wanting to go back to college for over 4 years now, but this indecisiveness has been holding me back. I'm thinking that at this point it may be best just to go for English. I mean, I could have already earned a Bachelors by now. Even if it wasn't exactly what I wanted, atleast it would have been something. And, I can always go back to school again. What do you all think?
