Check out the Angelman syndrome website mentioned for the best info, but I did have a child in my class with Angelman a few years back. Usually, the children with this syndrome have an albino kind of look... usually very blond with light skin and very light eyes. They are absolutely beautiful and asthetically pleasing looking children- hence the "angel" in the title. Our little girl did not have the ecstatic laughter that is characteristic, but has excessive crying instead, which is rare. She literally cried 2 1/2 out of the 3 hours a day we had her. She also had a lot of problems with her speech, and had odd tones to her voice. She had problems with her gait (walking), and very jerky movements with her arms (almost CP-like). Angelman's syndrome can include microcephaly (small head) and seizures, as well as tongue-thrusting, which makes it difficult to eat. Check out http://www.angelman.org for more complete info.
