I think that schools should have vending machines for students because sometimes kids get up late and never have a chance to grab a bite to eat and end up hungry so if there was a vending machine at school that could hold them off until lunch or if they have to take a test at lunch and didn't have time to get food then they could get something out of the vending machine. Also it is a fact that students work better when they are not hungry rather than when they are.

Vending machines are low maintenance. Generally a route driver or someone like that will come by, collect the money, replenish the sold product, replace product that is not selling with something that may sell better. They are available any time and not subject to store hours or cafeteria hours or similar limitations.

Some use them as fundraising....the school gets part of the proceeds. I think it's horrible that vending machines are in schools, esp. elementary schools.

if schools want to put vending machines in schools the kids should atleast wait til after houers its not helthy and they do it cuz they know it will make money

I don't see any real good reason... just wastes kid's money and makes 'em fat fat fatties.
