It was ended peacefully as whites handed power over to the blacks with Nelson Mandela and FW de Klerk negotiating. It was regarded as a miracle all over the world!

I would not say that it was peaceful though. The ANC gained power in 1994 after this first democratic election in SA where both white people and black people could vote. Nelson Mandela became the president of SA.
Surely you should know this though?? It was a major world event!!
