i bought a flute for my instrumental class and i have no idea how to play it!My teacher is the rude kind and embarasses people at little mistakes. He gave us 3 pages uf homework with these notes on it! i have no idea how to play! can u just tell me what button things im suppose to press for a D and B? please! im desperate. i have to know how to play all this by thursday! I actually like reading, if its not boring and it is interesting. College books are boring and the Chapters are soooo long. How do I make myself focus and get serious. I've had 3 test so far and passed them. I got by those through reviewing my notes. But I know that sooner or later Im gonna have to crack that book open. Everytime I attempt I can get no further than a page or 2. The good thing is most of my teachers give quizzes and tests from the notes, but I know it wont be this sweet with every teacher. Also, send your MySpace link, so that I may further procrastinate.

I have a POSITION PAPER due tomorrow for my english 100 class, my first position paper ever. So im somewhat confused, somewhat. I do know that this position paper will list my sources and how i plan to use them for my final research paper. The paper is on internet addiction/obsession. Where can i get some good sources for this topic? My teacher barked at me for using WIKIPEDIA on my last paper and now i know why and will never use it as a reliable source. I need 4 sources. Tips? NYU is one of the colleges I want to apply for once I am a senior in high school. Right now, I'm a freshman.

I want to get into NYU (if not Ivy League) because it is a GREAT school for Law and Business.

As of now, I am in all Honors classes except for one CP (but I am taking Geometry CP in freshman year).

I am going to join basketball and track.

I am in debate club, interact club (community service), and ERASE (eliminating racism and sexism).

I also plan on joining the student council for President.


As of now, what else should I be doing?

Do you have any good tips?

Should I already be practicing for the SATs?
(took them twice already though- 7th & 8th grade)

My daughter came homefrom school today with a yellow diciplinary note pinned to her shirt. My husband noticed about 5 other kids also had the notes pinned to their shirts. Do you feel it is appropriate to ostercise students in front of their class in this mannor or shoud they be dealt with privately and a phone call to the parents about their behavior?
