Spelling would be a good choice, unless you are purposely using incorrect spelling.

Some people do not go to college and that is fine for them I guess. Of course, most good jobs require at least an associate's degree or bachelor's. There are good jobs you can get with a high school diploma. I think you can work as a secretary or a massage therapist and a few other things which I cannot remember. The majority of the real world jobs out there require you to have at least an associate of arts degree and some require higher education. I think those career aptitude test work but not always. They give you an idea of what career you might consider choosing based on your personality and what you like. I think it is good if you have decided what you like in high school. If not, you do not have to choose a major your first year. You have to take the basic courses. Maybe you could try taking several electives that you might be interested in. Within the electives you might find a subject you are taking that might interest you and may make for a possible career choice. Let's just say that you want to major in journalism and secondary education in history or maybe even get a B.A in history. I know you are probably wondering okay so how do I make sure I can get a job in the outside world with my major. If you want to become a high school history teacher you have to know about the basic aspects of United States History or Texas History or California History or whatever state and that way you can know what you are talking about. Of course, you need work experience too. In order to become a high school history teacher you need to learn how to run a high school and that means you have to student teach at the high school level. If you are going to be a journalist you have to take Journalism and English classes and work at a major newspaper or magazine publisher for example.

I remember a time of not knowing what I wanted to be either. Since the first year or two are going to be general studies, I would use that time to focus on a career path. At least you realize the importance of an education.
Good luck

I just want to wish you luck on that one. I'm in my 5th year of college and have changed majors a couple times, and I still don't know what I want to do. Don't try to figure it out right away. Work on your core requirements and maybe take a couple of electives from majors you are considering. You'll find what you really want to do.

Take a career aptitude test like Brigg Meyers. Think about what you would most like to do fora living. If possible go to potential places of employment and evaluate.
