You should get e = 0.9

Group all the e terms on one side keeping in mind that the sign change to + if it was - or to - if it was +. Group all the non "e" terms on the other side doing the same thing with the signs. Then add and subtract each side seperately. Then divide accordingly.

0.10e-0.4=0.05-0.4e add .4e and .4 to both sides to get:

0.50e=0.45 divide both sides by .5 to get:

e=.9
