Your teacher is a jerk, and should be reported. There is no excuse whatsoever for belittling students, particularly beginning ones.

In the meantime, try this flute fingering chart:

It's kind of tough to explain, but the flute should be to the right of you, you should blow over it (like a bottle). For a D (wow, it's been a long time)...the left hand (pointer, middle and index) covers the 3 keys to the left of the sticky out one, the thumb covers the one underneath...the right hand (pointer, middle, the index is above but does not touch ) cover the 3 closest to where the small piece connects to the main piece. For a B, keep the fingers over the same keys, but lift up your left middle and index and all of the keys that your right hand was on. Hope that helps!

It beauful instrumental the flute. Thinking of James Galway the famous flute player. I think you hold the flute on a straight line paralell with your mouth when playing it.

ok when you hold it have it so its to the right of you.now the notes for D and B are simple. for D put your 2nd and 3rd fingers down on your left hand and your first 3 fingers on the right hand.for B you put your 1st finger down on your left hand and your first finger and pinky finger down on the right hand.
