I would be a communications major with an emphesis in Public Relations at UOP, and I would be a Legal Studies major at UC Santa Cruz. Also, my boyfriend goes to UCSC, but I can't decide if I want to change my school education and go for a different major. According to the books of top schools, Santa Cruz is ranked at like 68 and UOP is ranked at 107. So, ucsc is ranked as a better school. I just want to be HAPPY!!! Is that so hard?!?! Also, I think that being away at a different school would make my bf appreciate our relationship more. However, I feel that long distance relationships suck. I should have just gone to UC Davis right out of high school instead of ucsc. Ahhhh......Which should I do?!?! I'm so confused!!!!

I recently had to teach a class how to write the alphabet. Much to my surprise the letters in the teacher's guide were much different from the way we were taught (not that long ago) in teacher's college. The same seems to be true of cursive writing

I was wondering if anyone knows of any grant money that a first time college student whos high school grades where only average and is 21. I graduated in 04 and now trying to go to school and I have spent hours looking for scholarships and can't seem to come up with anything. I have taken out loans for now but if I can find some grants it would make it easier to just go to school and not worry about having to work and go to school. I have lloked at fastweb and site like that I just need to know of grants and there web site not search sites.

Help me find a quotation. I have a vague memory of a quote (perhaps from a respected literary figure, maybe Orwell) which states that the name given to a piece of legislation will always denote the opposite of the purpose of the legislation. In effect, the names of our laws are propaganda. The USA PATRIOT Act springs immediately to mind. Are you familiar with this alleged quote? Who said it and what did they say? I'm pretty sure it's not from a work of fiction (e.g., "1984") and I know it's not in Orwell's "Politics and the English Language".

Sustainable development have been defined so many times by different NGOs and of course the UN in such long worthy sentences and often it is very difficult for many people to grasp and understand and implement. How do we define the term in a much more user friendly way so that we could educate others to follow and understand it in an easier format with graphical diagrams where possible?
