I am Singapore polytechnics student and i have O-level results also. My result in poly (20distinctions, 8As, 6Bs, 2Cs and 1D) for 2.5 yr of study.I cannot think of where to go to study for my degree. My main concern is job opportunities after i graduate.

If you can't study locally, may I suggest Australia? It is closer to Singapore and the quality of education is just as good as US or UK, while being cheaper and relatively easier to get into the program.
The best engineering schools include UNSW, UniMelb, UTS, RMIT, USyd.

I think US would be your best option. You may even get some credits.
