Selling out for parental approval

Who are you trying to impress? and why are you selling your soul for approval? and what are you going to do with this stinking approval when you get it? An "academic" is not necessarily a "creative" and a creative is not necessarily an academic, it is rare you get the two and without sounding contradictory, you can be a creative accountant rather than just a pen pusher. I suggest you write down all the subjects that interest you then mark them 1-10 and then you'll get an overall view of where to direct your energy's, that way, what you do will become easy to your hand and your creativity will flow,and hense thereafter reflect in your results. Stop going for stinking approval it's a cop out. Now you know why graduates work petrol pumps stations, because they did it for parental approval not for themselves and furthermore 90% of what they learnt under "duress" is forgotten after the first year anyway, and thereafter they compromise "their" integrity, "societys" intergrity and the "worlds" integrity as a whole, by trading on a usurped and an ill gained degree gained in the last month before the exam for approval. Knowledge without the wisdom how to use it with ethics is the cause of all our social ill's (as it doesnt teach competance and ability). So re-evaluate who you are and how you want to express "that you" in the world,It's not about hwho you are it's about who you want to be.That's why your in learning now, to learn all the object lessons of what you don't want! So concentrate on who "you" want to be, not on who "they" want you to be from their unfullfilled and incomplete expectations of themselves they are trying to dump on you. That way you'll earn your respect and be "well grounded" in your subjects learnt from the heart not the "mind", and not falsely assume you have respect and approval from trading on forgotten history like them. ...good luck in re-evaluating!

Understanding is the booby prize, it's about "getting it" like when you put your hand in the fire, you don't understand it's hot you "get it"..........get it? So get it, get on with it and go for it and when your in line with your souls desire, you will find that the universe supports you naturally. Thats of course if you can get with the curriculum it has for you and give up your arrogannce that you know better than providence!

It's a sad and sorry state of affairs, so don't be a victim of it and learn to think for yourself and be a creator of circumstances not at effect of them. That way you will live a fulfilled and valuble life rather than a poor little victim of the dial content.

I trust there was some value in this for you somewhere even if you print it off and see what your parents think about it! more approval or an insight for them maybe and the pressure will disipate ;)

When we take peoples choices away and they don't feel free to choose naturally, they rebel everytime.
