Malnutrition is caused by not getting the vitamins and minerals needed to live. This happens in anorexics, drunks/junkies and people who don't eat any/enough fruit and veg.

Malnutrition is caused by lack of food neccassary for heath...
So if ur diet doesn't conatain the appropriate amount of Vitamins, Proteins etc
U r vulnerable to malnutrition... thats it

Not eating enough food, or eating the wrong kinds of foods, foods with absolutely no nutritional value whatsoever.
