I bought a Citizen/Electrohome TV because it was so cheap. But the picture is dark even when the brightness is turned up to maximum (100)!! Is there any way to make it brighter? If anyone can help, I would be very grateful.

Suppose a person were to have access to a cable connection and had an HDTV. Is there a way that they could access HDTV cable channels directly from the cable? Is there an aftermarket box that this person could buy that would not have to come from a cable company?

Okay, so I'm not tech-savvy so please don't be too technical on me. I had just gotten an HD service from Comcast and had them installed the box for me. Now I noticed that the connectors they used is the one for Analog component, and the picture is good but it's not the best (except for the channels that broadcast HD). I want to know if I buy an HDMI to DVI cable (the cable box from Comcast has DVI at the back but no HDMI), would it make a huge difference with the picture? I just don't want to spend more money if it's not worth it. Any input from tech-savvy people out there? Thanks a bunch!!!!

Now... Im wondering how I get local channels with this tv. Do I just need an antennae?

Also, I bought the ps3 and when I let it automatically select the highest picture quality for the hd, it selects 720p instead of 1080i... Is the 720p better?

I have just bought a 42" plasma display screen that can be connected to Sky box, DVD player and video, but does not have an external aerial so cannot be used to view terrestrial TV. I have tried to connect my Sky box through the screen, but there are no scart sockets on the rear of the screen to connect the Sky box. The DVD player has connected and can be viewed with no problem but the screen keeps flickering when I try and view what is being transimitted through the Sky box using a scart to 6 phono lead. Help!

What does an RS232 lead do when connecting my Sky box to my 42" plasma TV? I have just bought the TV and noticed that there is a connection for RS232 on the back of both the Sky box and the TV and assume that thes means I can connect the Sky box to the TV without the use of scart leads, as the TV does not have any scart connecitions. Are these leads easy to get hold of, and are they available to buy in any high street electrical shops?
