We just had a drop off in the temps (now about 11F) and all of a sudden reception of my HDTV which was getting signla from the HDTV rabbit ears started getting fussy & I have to keep on moving the antenna around...I am wondering if anyone knows how the temp affects the signal? Thanks!

The temp itself should affect the signal, but since it's below freezing, you might be getting some ghosting from ice that is now encrusting things. Since the ice is conductive, it can either act like a free piece of metal (like an antenna rod) or, if it has a good path to ground, like a ground rod. Either one can affect how the transmissions propagate through the air to your rabbit ears. Maybe you can switch to an antenna and rotor system, either outside or in the attic? The added height can only help and the rotor can help you maximize the good signals.
