I am looking to buy a portable gps device for car travel in the U.S. and Costa del Sol Spain. How would this work? I will be in Spain 2 weeks only. Is it better to rent (about $10.00 / day in Spain) ? I would rather buy one that can be used here and in Spain.

I need to be able to have power drawn from my car battery for 2-10 minutes (either that I can set or device limit) after the ignition shuts off.

As an example, what if I want a new car radio to continue to play for 5 minutes after I turn off the car and then have the power to it cut off? If tie directly to the ignition switch for power, it would turn off when the car is turned off.

I was thinking a simple solenoid would do this, but I cannot find one.

Any ideas on other ways to do this? Can you provide a link to where I can buy what I need?

I bought new speakers recently (Logitech's X-230) and i'm thinking of putting it on my desk ( wood ) about 25-30 cm away from the screen ( the large ones not LCD )
My sub is presently on the carpet under the desk beside a wall, but that wall is too far in under the desk ( because the desk is large), so i hardly hear a thing out of it. Wil the magnets or vibrations damage the screen?

Thanks
