To me there is not much difference at all. I am under contract with direct TV. Wish I hadn't gotten it. The main programming I like to watch are still the local channels which I do get BUT every time it rains or snows I loose signal. I would check with the local cable provider or local phone company to see what they have to offer first. After I got direct TV, I find the local phone service offers fiber net TV along with DSL and phone service with one bill for all. Great picture and good programming. My mom signed up for it and its great.

Hi,

I'd say Dish cause:

- cheaper
- more channels
- awesome picture quality

You might check out http://www.dishnetworkbargains.net - They run some promo and give away dishes and DVR when you subscribe to one package.

Hope that helps.

Mike

Do you care about the NFL Sunday Ticket? If no, then go with Dish Network.
