I need to be able to have power drawn from my car battery for 2-10 minutes (either that I can set or device limit) after the ignition shuts off.
As an example, what if I want a new car radio to continue to play for 5 minutes after I turn off the car and then have the power to it cut off? If tie directly to the ignition switch for power, it would turn off when the car is turned off.
I was thinking a simple solenoid would do this, but I cannot find one.
Any ideas on other ways to do this? Can you provide a link to where I can buy what I need?

I have looked for the light fuse that allows your headlights to turn of up to 180 seconds after the car turns off, but Radio Shack or any of car shops in town do not know where to get them, b/c they claim they do not have them. Perhaps they do, and the reps just do not know.
Links to any online?

To the second question/answer, I have a Subaru.
The issue is that I need the device to cut off after some amount of time, probably no longer than 20 minutes after the car shuts off, to avoid the battery being drained. The radio example you gave is a good one, in that the memory for the settings does not require much power, but the other 99% of the radio is not connected to the same part of the iginition switch. Otherwise, if you left the radio on, you would drain your battery completely in a short time.
