I have about 5 radios in my house. I can't get anything but the local country station. Ugh. In my car right outside my house I can get many from several hundred miles away. What gives?

I want an honest opinion, who is winning, and who will ultimately emerge the winner in the Console wars? I personally am rooting for the Wii, cos great SFX can only take you so far. I'd play a game for the gameplay. Thats why worms rules.

Anyone know of a device built to put on your phone line which will tell you the incoming # without resorting to a sacm know as a "subscription" to read it off a phone, etc(lan-line).

The data is already there(just like a radio station coming through, but you don't have to GUESS what your tuned into), and I just don't need or desire to pay for something needlessly.

Thanks!

If i buy 1000mAh batteries over 750mAh what will happen if i put it in a LED flashlight: will it be brighter or last for longer?

and if it is brighter: how would it change the performance in my mp3 player which probably uses a constant amount of energy regardless of how many mAh there are..

Also if you know, what exactly is mAh?

Ok guys here is the deal....
I have a Dell Inspirion 9400 with one sound card. I do some DJing with it and I need to split the channels so I can use one channel to broadcast and the other channel to use my headphones. I was told I need a stereo/ mono splitter. I need to know what it does and where to find one. so if anyone can give me links with pictures so I can see what I am looking for, that would be great. Thanks alot

My concerns are: Will the charging circuits and the AC-DC inverter be destroyed when the higher capacity battery is installed? Will the current normally used by the charging system in the UPS be enough to charge the higher capacity battery?

The company's name is barely legible...something like Sensor Technologies, but I can't find a company with that name on the Internet. This detector has a plug that looks like a printer cable connection--9 or 10 pins that go into another from the ceiling.

I thought of a project; take a car cd player head unit and put it in a wood box with a pair of component speakers, along with a small sub, maybe 6.5", off the rear speakers on the radio (yes, a pioneer radio will do this) and wire it like that. is this possible, if so, how do i wire and power this contraption.
