I have a digital box signal going to Thomson VCR out to AV1 but I need to set a second digital box signal for Philips VCR out to AV2. Will this be possible? Also will I need to have a booster for the Ariel?

Why not buy a twin tuner pvr?
I've got a Freeview Humax PVR 9200

you can record one channel while watching another (or two channels at once).
Cost me £150

Your set-up should work OK. A booster is needed if the cable run from antennae to device is over 50 ft. Signal drop etc...

by Serial port connect a television saved close to STB. by long AV cable you could connect yet another television saved at different room. To make it prompt, you ought to use a AV transmitter receiver gadget for different television. basically difficulty is which you will see comparable channel at the two television.
