when i go to watch a programme i've recorded on sky plus-it skips,goes all jumpy and loses colour, its unwatchable. How can i correct this and why does it happen?

Unfortunately, you join the queue of dissatisfied Sky+ customers ! Take a 'stroll' round here and all you'll see is complaints about it. Two days ago somebody said how they'd spoken to a Sky engineer who did eight calls a day, and seven of those were always about faulty S+ boxes ! ! !

Try a reboot first.....Unplug the box from the mains for 5 mins then re-plug it in and wait a few minutes for it to re-boot....then see what happens.
Sky will get you to do this when/if you call them with a fault anyway.
