My 30g iPod video is lying to me. The battery light was on green still, nearly full, and it died on me. I had charged it a few days earlier, and watched about an hour of videos on it;;it was it's time to die, haha. But the battery wasn't even halfway down! What should I do, and what might be the cause of this?

I'm considering buying a new nano but I dont want to spend 60+ dollars on songs I already have. From what I've heard you have to download all your songs from Itunes in order for them to work on an I pod. is this true? and if so is there any hack programs or tricks I should know?

I have a really annoying MP3 player, and I'm trying to figure out why there's a 2-3 second delay between pressing the button and the next song loading up. My first guess is that the file is encoded too high and it takes too much effort to decode it...so my plan is to re-encode them at a much lower bitrate (92kbps).

I was wondering if anybody knew which one is quicker (for the MP3 player) to decode, as this player supports both WMA and MP3, it's just a matter of which one will reduce the "caching delay".

(although this experience is dated, I feel it's still valid)
I got a CREATIVE Zen Micro last christmas, it has 5GB, a built in FM radio, and a built in microphone, the 2GB iPod nano with no extras was $200 while mine was $185
doesn't that just prove that the iPod is priced with the addition of name recognition?

I updated my iTunes software to the newest version- and now my playlists won't transfer onto my iPod. With the old iTunes, I would just go to EDIT, PREFERENCES, click on the IPOD tab, and check off the playlists that I wanted to be transferred. But now it doesn't give me that option on PREFERENCES, and so I don't know what to do..
