You burn, break or destroy it. There is no way to clear it

It's not eraseable. However, if you need to make sure that no one else can see the contents, you can get a heavy duty paper shredder that can also shred CDs and DVDs. Here's the search results from Staples.com...

You cant. Now a dvd-rw is a different story. You can use a magnet to do that.

You need DVD-RWs for rewriting, DVD-R is one time use.
