what do i need to do to get my music back?
All the music has gone but when i see ipod memory on itunes it has changed to 30gb other memory not music files.

I have the same Ipod that hold 40 GB.
Ok, I had this problem once..
You have to make sure that you go to sync music and make sure it does the whole entire library of itunes. Do that firstly, then you get your "lost music" back.
I'm sure that this is all about that. G'luck.

Sounds like you put data on with something besides Itunes. Try taking it off and syncing your Ipod with Itunes again.

remove/re-install itunes/quicktime, and connect ipod back up...

Uh, did you do anything to make it say that? I can't imagine everything was just wiped.
