My 30g iPod video is lying to me. The battery light was on green still, nearly full, and it died on me. I had charged it a few days earlier, and watched about an hour of videos on it;;it was it's time to die, haha. But the battery wasn't even halfway down! What should I do, and what might be the cause of this?

On my local NBC news, they are talking about people having trouble with MP3 players especially Ipods and the poor batteries they use. They suggest you go the Consumer Reports website to learn more.

my battery does that too. contrary to what they say, the battery does die. check if it's still under the warrenty. you might have also gotten a bad one of the bunch that were shipped out. don't put it in the sun or in cold cold weather. if all else failsm i'm sure you can just buy another battery, but i think they cost more than the actual ipod..

ipods are garbage. the batterys suck in them. it only has a 2hour video time, so if you watched 1 hour of video, u wont have much battery left, espescially if u hadent charged it for a few days. i recommend charging it for a good 4 hours every few days
