Are you sure the phone will hold it? You can download any MP3 onto any MP3 enabled cell that has MP3 player software but you most likely cannot use it as a ring tone. Wireless carriers usually try and get that feature shut off but who wants a 5 minute ringtone? You can use some software programs to create your own 30 second ringtones i used my phone's browser and text messaging software to create my own 30 second MP3 ringtones.
Make sure the phone has a flash card with a few hundred MB at least. You can use iTunes to convert AAC files to MP3 just check the help files.
Have iPod users ever heard of the concept of help files?

There step by step.
You don't have to burn to disc then rip again...that's stupid.

Kinda lengthy and a PITA, but burn a regular CD from iTunes, then use another program to rip that burned CD to MP3 files.

Set the preferences to convert when imported.
It's a built in feature of iTunes.
