When I tried to reformat my Mac ipod to work with the new itunes, itunes said the ipod firmware was missing. First of all, what the heck is firmware? I was using xplay to use my ipod with my new pc for the past few months and with itunes 6 it worked fine. is there a way i can download firmware? am i going to have to get a new ipod?

I was deleting documents in Microsoft Word. However instead of highlighting one doc to delete it highlighted a whole block by mistake It took 5 minutes to delete.
Now my Itunes library has nothing in it (I had 3500 songs).
Can I find them again? Will they be in recycle bin?
What should I look for. Please help. I do not understand how deleting "Word" documents would affect my Itunes.

Does the 30GB 5th Gen. iPod work with the Nike + iPod Sport Kit? I own the 30GB model from about 6months ago. Not the new ones that just came out. But will it work with the 5th Gen 30GB iPod? I know it's made for Nano. But my question is, would it work?

since i don't hold a credit card that was issued in the US, i cannot but it online on the apple store.com.
is there another online shop that hpolds the new ipod nano red, that will accept an international credit card, other than Ebay?

Current kit

- Sony 3 parts separate system (CD player / tuner, Minidisc player, cassette deck) + speakers

Can I replace all of this with speakers that I can slot an ipod into. It must have radio and excellent quality sound. Most speakers that I have found are either without a radio or have a radio but with the speakers bolted on to each other (as in Apple's hi-fi system) so you lose the stereo effect.

Bonus points if the ipod can be digitally connected to a mini system that includes minidisc, CD, and FM radio.

I bought ipod nano 1GB... but after using it for 1 weak i realize that i need atleast 2GB ipod nano... so can i upgrade my ipod nano from 1 GB to 2GB if YES how?? Dont want to waste my investment on 1 GB ipod...... :(
One more thing that my ipod says that the battery life is 14 hours.... but my ipod being brand new is giving me only 5 hours....... can i talk to apple service center for this problem... or is it a common one.......

It always says, "Downloading..." or "Updating..." or something...

None of my System of a Down songs will go on, nor will HALF of my Taking Back Sunday songs.

Don't tell me the bands suck. I don't care.

Just tell me why these won't load!

((It wouldn't work on the old iTunes, or the latest version of iTunes.))

By the way, it is an iPod 30G Video.

This morning, I decided to weed out some of my old CDs and DVDs to sell at CD Warehouse. I found that most of them had some kind of fungus on them! I google for information on how to clean my CD and DVD collection without destroying them and I find instead: Fungus "eats" CDs (22.06.2001 BBC News - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/1402533.stm). My question is: Has anyone here experienced this before? What can I do to clean and salvage my collection? How can I prevent this from happening to my unaffected discs?

I just happened to buy some chinese speakers for $14...they claim they can work with any music device including Ipod and they did they sounded ok ohhh but guess what???? when I disconnected them mi Ipod screen looked so bad it looked just as If the Ipod was screwed and It wouldnt work again!!!! but when I disconnected the speakers and replugged the regular Ipod headphones it was OK ...so i came to the conclusion that maybe on purpose Apple Computer wants us to buy only licensed accesories or something.....Has something like this happen to you???????? What do you think about this

alright....Im getting an ipod after months of drooling over them. I put one on lay away and Im going to pay it off with my birthday money (present to myself). I decided to read up on them and Im getting a mixture of about half " I love my ipod so much!!!" and half "I hate my ipod!!!!!" So. What do you guys think of your ipods? how do they compare to other mp3s ..and what problems do you have with them? Any other pros/ cons? Thanks!

When i try to put certain songs on my iPod shuffle it takes a really long time, like 30 minutes. It might be the new iTunes version, because around the time i installed it this started happening. I have a warranty. Should I take it back? Any advice?
